While sitting on the west side of the stadium at Saturday's game, I watched both bands quite a bit. I would like to thank SMU's band for:

1. Having cool uniforms and not looking like a high school band with stupid feathers in their hats and wearing capes like an action hero.

2. Being loud. TCU's band must have been three or four times as big. But SMU's band is much louder.

3. Playing Peruna a lot. It's funny to watch opposing fans even tap their feet a little bit when Peruna is played. Opponents love making fun of she'll be coming 'round the mountain. But I think they secretly like it...a lot.

4. Having good songs to play.

5. Not having flag girls.

6. Not having wind instruments.

7. Not being cheesy.

and turning themselves & horns around toward the SMU crowd a few times so we could hear them

Anybody notice the flag BOY? Interesting touch. He appeared quite "light" in his loafers. NTTAWWT.

The band did a super job on Saturday. Even the purple shirts around us were getting into it when our band was playing.

The HUB never fails to do their job.

Come on 75...they are doing their job. They can't help that the majority of our fan base doesn't understand how unique and valuable they are to our gameday experience.

Not knocking the band. Knocking the fans and the university that take the band granted.

The Band was Awesome!!!

The NWSt game halftime was the biggest ovation I have heard for our band in years. I think the MB has built up enough cred over the decades.

The band could be heard on t.v, too. They are always great.
