All of these "running the table" and BCS predictions need to stop. After the 2005 win against TCU, we lost by 58 points the following week. I know the players are not getting ahead of themselves, but come on people. Step away from the bong, one hitter, or whatever you are smoking from and join us back in reality.

I don't think anyone is saying that it is a given that we run the table. but, for the first time, it is a possibility to be entertained. okay, you want to entertain that thought silently to yourself, that's fine.
I get the concern about the bad juju.

but, it's nice that no one has really said, "what?!!!!! are you mad?? how can that possibly happen?!!!" it's cuz everyone is in a nice place of considering it.

and, be serious...... this team is not the same as the '05 team. we can all see the potential and talent, as well as the developing game-time execution that these boys are putting together. why not get excited? okay, 'one game at a time' ....sure. but, certainly dream. have no fear.

okay, back to quietly thinking about this........

Agreed. We shouldn't be claiming ourselves BCS Busters, let alone C-USA champs. But like cutter says, we can actually win every game left in our schedule. I can almost guarantee that that wont be the case, but hey, when's the last time SMU could say that?

At least it's not the usual debbie downers predicting we get blown out every week only to come back and act like a great fan...

Why not put it out there? You know we are all having moist dreams thinking about it.

2011 Team not even close to 2005 Team, the 2011 team shows a lot of potential to play with anybody, have to admit we didn't play our best (we played really well) at Froggie Land and still beat them. Dominating a top 20 team for 3 of the 4 quarters shows you the talent on this team. JJ (Coach Jones) will not allow complacency, this is a really good football team and proud of what they have accomplished. OL and DL really good, receivers starting to figure out R&S, great running back and OB has great poise.

I'm not saying that running the table is impossible but from my experience, the team needs to be focused exclusively on UCF and not worried about future games. We as fans need to move on and not fill their heads with how great they are. They had a great game, but they need a better game in two weeks. And yes, the guys read this board.
