check out his quote where he says
"We’ve helped them, let them come over and talked to them about how we do things academically"
He is mad because JJ said Gary doesn't change his coaching style and hence JJ was prepared to defeat him in the game. well, of course that is what a coach does.

Quite a rant in this morning's Star. Even TCU fans are smart enough to consider the source. They know.

It is true..the star-telegram has a long article on Paterson rants with numerous shots at June, DJ, officials and SMU. Basicaly he says they lost because of the officials and he felt it was his duty to come out since the CUSA commissioner already said SMU won becaues of the officials. Also it is Gary Patterson who has rebuilt the SMU program, not June Jones because he has helped with player evaluations, academics and stadium information. Oh, and SMU should just "forget about him helping get them into a new conference"! He took it as a slight that June said they don't change game plans, they just come out and beat you. There is more but for those of you that think Patterson is just a great fiery coach with a passion for the game....this is more like the real guy. He is one of the more-hated coaches/people. The difference is he wins football games and that is what matters! He intimidates players and is verbally abusive..ie he makes Mangino the former Kansas coach look downright saintly! He has brought national prominence to this "Christian" university but at what price? They have sold their souls to the devil to win football games. Anybody read the SI article? What loving father would have his sons raised by his parents 1000 miles away instead of himself so he could concentrate on football? What a sad life...his tombstone will read "he won a lot of football games but he had no friends or family and was hated by all"

Well, most of us would agree that the CUSA officials suck. SO that really isn't something out of the ordinary. And since we are one of the few teams that have consistently beat TCU over the last few great TCU seasons, I can see why he hates us. We just beat him at the worse possible times.
