ESPN Boston is reporting Sterling Moore has been signed to the Patriots practice squad.

Might be a good place for him - he should learn a lot and might have a decent chance to play some considering the New England secondary has been brutal so far this season.

"FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The Patriots have signed rookie cornerback Sterling Moore to their practice squad, Moore's agent announced on Twitter.

The 5-foot-10, 190-pound Moore, who played at SMU, was on the Raiders' practice squad earlier this season. He initially joined the Raiders as a free agent after going undrafted in April.

The Patriots' practice squad was full after the re-signing of safety Ross Ventrone on Tuesday, so the team will have to make another move to create room for Moore.

Depth at cornerback has been an issue, as starter Leigh Bodden (groin) and rookie Ras-I Dowling (hip) missed Sunday's win over the Raiders. The addition of Moore adds another layer of depth on the practice squad along with Josh Victorian (assuming Victorian isn't part of this roster move). "

good news for Sterling.
doesn't appear on the Pats official roster, yet, but I assume it is because someone has to be cut first.
