After this weekend I thought we were in great realignment shape. Not now, the only regionally smart conference for us would rather add Tulane (who has never been good at football). The Big East is DEAD! Marianatto is filing for unemployment as I type. We have 0% chance of a Big 12 invite now. Unless a nuclear bomb hits Iowa State, Kansas, and K-State, and even if that happened Chuck Neienas and the other 'tards would rather pursue other schools (out of Texas) to have a more versatile TV market. This is a sickly, depressing day after the best weekend we have all had in a while. [deleted] the Big 12.

Have kept quite about the conference reallignment issue up until now. At first it seemed like the dream scenario to be part of the Big 12 (regional issues), but the the more I started to think about it, it really would not be the best BCS option for us (or fankly anyone else as long as UT is part of the conference). We would be stuck fighting continually against UT about everything and UT would make sure we never really felt like an equal. As hard as it's going to be to have to travel further, other BCS conferences out there (ones who really do want us) will be better in the long run.
