Any pressure from TX legislature??

I remember reading a report that stated the reason Big 12 didn't want to take a team from Texas was that if they did, there would be an outcry/pressure to add all Texas teams...
Was that just a load of BS? Can't imagine that Dallas and Houston like this very much. Where are the advocates for these districts? Is anyone speaking out?

no session for a year +, no elections going on, which means not a lot of goodwill to be had by greasing palms, so...zzzzzz

In this day of tight state budgets, when hs teams can no longer afford to take their bands to games, and UT and A&A line up for their $150-200,000,000 yearly handouts--why hasn't someone asked for a full audit of the athletic departments of both programs? With all the revenue they receive where is the money going? Why can't it go back to education? Someone needs to examine the sacred cow--I would believe they would find it full of bull(steer)[deleted]!

They don't care. It doesn't involve school that really matters, and voters are going to use that against them at the ballot box.
