Superconferences

I know there has been a lot of talk about 4 16 team superconferences eventually being formed. How will that happen now? There are currently 6 BCS conferences and two would have to dissolve. I can see it happening to the Big East but the other two that were thought to be possible victims have done things to shore up their conference. (ACC and Big 12). Any ideas how it might happen now?

Aren't they already at 12? I can't hardly keep up with it all anymore. If it is going to be 5 14 team conferences then they would only need 2 teams. And if it was a couple of those teams you are making openings in the Big 12 to fill.
