you guys need to remember that coaches don't have anything to do with conference alignment. that's left to the businessmen that typically outlast coaches.

Why wouldn't they?
SMU is still in the 4 largest market in the U.S. That hasn't changed.

b/c we were a logical travel partner for the basketball teams. come to dallas for a thurs game and then fort worth for a saturday game, or regional meets, or whatever for non-rev.
TCU added lots of BCS points. we add, hmmmm, zero.
