Graphics look great. Very subtle! In keeping with the feel of the piece. Not getting in the way at all. Anyway, I'm watching this and the "almost final cut" of the commercial back-to-back to keep from twiddling my thumbs as my graphics guy works his "magiciarry":

Donations still needed and will be open for a while as I am massively in the hole. Hat to be a little "you know what", but it hacked me off in one of the threads when some guy was like, "oh so we are supposed to throw in an Thad is just going to put none of his own money in?" That really, yeah... I made no money on the ESPN thing and I am happy to lose money on this thing... but the idea that I'd be in this to make money burns me to no end.

Sure, I would love to be able to pay myself something. But that's not why I do this.

You know by now there are some real turkeylegs on this board. We appreciate everything you are doing and have done.

People can be real [Gary Pattersons] sometimes. Folks who were all gung ho who haven't contributed yet need to get in gear and pony up for this. I've been out of work the past couple months but honored my commitment, and once I get a steady paycheck again if there is more to be done I am happy to help as best I can. For all the whiners that say "SMU doesn't sell itself; SMU is apathetic", here is a guy who literally has put it all out there for us; the very least we can do is have his back. Even if it means rather than giving money you can get the word out to others to convince them to contribute, surely there is SOMETHING you can do to participate in what is a great project for the team and school we love.

I know this was mentioned in an earlier thread, but I wanted to follow up on it: are we getting momentum on using the commercial locally, not just on the stampede? I was watching the news last night and saw an ad for UT Arlington which made me think of this again. I think, given how awesome this thing looks, we could get a whole lot more outreach if we could maybe put billboard money towards a couple of well-timed TV spots on the local channels. Like I say, I know someone else mentioned this, but I was wondering if it has gained any traction. Thanks, Thad for all your incredible work on this. Ponyfans, time to step it up!

But I went back and edited my talley on all of the posts when the original idea changed and they were deleted. I knew people would go deadbeat when that happened.

You can't force people to pay.
Just ask them to donate.


I suggest posting a link with the video and password and asking for contributions.
