hmmm.......maybe, he should go out of his way to hold a press conference to retract everything he said last week...... and, add "I was a sore loser".

Does that mean he's helping us get into the Big XII? Or maybe we should expect baby steps... like he'll help June get into a Golden Corral first.

In the blasting of Coach Jones, Patterson may have been letting the Big 12 know how he has only lost once to him (and Briles). Now that they are in the Big 12 he has done what he set out to do. So now he is apologizing.

Coach P. loves to text!

He apologized several times at the press conference last night and mentioned that he has all this energy and blows up occasionally (every 5-6 years a la after the Tech win and SMU loss)...says he's not due up for another 5-6. Coach P. also mentioned he and June are golfing regulars and fairly good friends.

Oh they are golfing buddies. Everything is ok then.

Since you're invested in both parties, does this mean that Gary Patterson will help SMU again?

Damage already done. June will take the high road and will accept apology, probably.

Patterson did what he had to do to get into the Big 12. If that meant throwing perfectly innocent SMU under the bus, that meant throwing SMU under the bus and begging for forgiveness later.
