What I did not get from the story is that all of the service academies are unlikely to join the Big East.

I felt exactly the same. What I got from that is Army is the only one that is truly out.

We are still walking an incredibly dangerous tightrope. If we get in, hookers and blow for everybody. If we are somehow left out while Boise State, Houston, UCF get in, we're in a bad way. But things are looking better.

If SMU joins BE, we want AFA and Navy. They travel well and eyeballs for TV is high. However, we need to defense the Triple Option.
