This IS not a good situation, even if you are a June Jones supporter.
How does June come back and take control of the team? How does he look the 2012 team in the eyes and tell them he is committed to the team? This was a not a flirt with another team like Maryland, this was an offer that he accepted.
Because of his age and some other comments he has made, June does not get the same free pass as a younger star coach on the rise. He is being held to a different standard here.
I think we still are going to lose recruits, players are going to have mixed emotions AND we have to watch a very sloppy offense next year.

All possible...
most likely he is here for a year...We need to take a serious look at klemm or mason and see if they can hold recruits together and take over the program...I am inclined to let Klemm see what he can do, he basically can have a test year, its been well documented that players love him and want to play hard for him...

I wasn't mad that June interviewed in Maryland, I was nervous but not mad, and I would've been the same if he conducted his ASU flirtation the same way and at a time not detrimental to SMU. He deserves to interview at any number of jobs because that's what happens when you are a small-time school with a big-time coach. He did not. He met in-person with ASU officials on a major recruiting weekend (bad). He told recruits where he wanted to go and presumably where he was going to go because two recruits immediately transferred to ASU (worse). His agent is all over the radio in Tempe talking about this before the contract was signed (stupid), before he told his own players (dis-respectful) and he called all recruiters off the road, again before the paper was signed (detrimental to our relations with and preception by scheduled recruits). Every single mention here has a more professional and respectful option and that's my beef: not what he did but how he did it. It is insulting that some people here want to paint this as simple professional curiosity. He didn't extend us any niceties except in asking Orsini to interview in the first place (if true).

I don't think June did anything to tick people off during the Maryland situation.
