I imagine that he'd be competing for a starting spot in the line had he chosen SMU and actually made the grade.

Posted: Tue May 29, 2012 4:52 pmactually they apparently have lost 4 from the roster. I think the biggest loss-not yet confirmed-would be Deryck Gildon who they expected to a rising LB in an area that has already been hit. Think SMU offered him too

What makes you say that? I'm not challenging the idea, as I have never seen him play and have no idea how good he is. Did he play at all last year? Have you seen him play?

I say that because both Starting Tackle spots are open, and he would be a highly recruited Redshirt Freshman. I don't think it's a controversial statement.
