Blecher Report - Ford #51 BCS stadiumnormally I hate blacher report and think most of what they say is garbage, but I feel cool knowing that they put Ford as the #51 BCS stadium out of 75. There's a lot of pretty nice stadiums they rank below us

Re: Blecher Report - Ford #51 BCS stadiumBleacher Report sucks, but nice list, I suppose.
That said, GJFord should be higher than that. Love our stadium. Fountain of youth

Re: Blecher Report - Ford #51 BCS stadiumIt has aTm as 13. That stadium sucks. Sight lines are horrible, and seating is atrocious.
Moreover, it has TCU up there, but with an old pic http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1605 ... um/page/40

It's just downright u-g-l-y. "0" personality - like an aggie (or a governor)
Re: Blecher Report - Ford #51 BCS stadiumWhat makes a good stadium? The new Allen HS has better sightlines and a nicer feel than even Ford........ Would you rather watch a game in Allen instead of Ford or Aggieland?

Re: Blecher Report - Ford #51 BCS stadiumDepends on who's playing.
When will I start feeling stimulated??
Re: Blecher Report - Ford #51 BCS stadiumI've always thought they built way too many undesirable seats in Ford, in the North endzone. Should have double decked either sideline with decks of seats + suites in between, had some club area in the North endzone with a windowed "football center" with coaches' offices or whatever over it and then left the south endzone the same with scoreboard. Just my opinion, I'm not an architect, and obviously that water passed under the bridge a long time ago

Re: Blecher Report - Ford #51 BCS stadiumThat list sucks. I read it a week ago, stopped before I got to Ford - there is no research down, it's arbitrary and half-a$$ed, like everything else about that site.
Look, if you're going to make a list like "best stadiums" do it, but for god's sake put some thought into it, don't just post a list that some monkey with a keyboard and an internet connection came up with in a half-hour.

Re: Blecher Report - Ford #51 BCS stadiumI believe the new dorms behind the visitors side just made Ford better. It feels a little more enclosed if that makes sense.
Re: Blecher Report - Ford #51 BCS stadiumIt makes a lot of sense. From the home side, the view was a ton of space and then the Merrell Lynch building.

Re: Blecher Report - Ford #51 BCS stadium
Actually, these close-by buildings help increase a feeling of intimacy. For example, the new Major Soccer League (MSL) stadiums have great appeal by creating better intimacy by: - Placing the seats loser to the action with great sight lines. - Adding huge overhanging structures (similar to awnings on a large scale) on the sidelines. Smaller capacity stadiums are not necessarily a problem for them, as a result of the above. Pony Up
