I wondered about this.

Guy likes to burn his candles at both ends.

College Station in the summer with students gone can't be fun.

Transfer? Ha-ha...

Safest bet in sports is that Manziel declares for the draft the day after A&M's bowl game (and can you blame him? How can anyone enjoy College Station? Not that he stops in town all that often while "taking" his on-line classes.)

You have to think that despite all of the awards this guy wins and all of the games he helps the Aggies win, A&M's PR guys will be happy when he's gone. He's a hell of an athlete, but also a world-class knucklehead who must create as many headaches as he does headlines down there.

He really is a world class knucklehead. He reminds me of an irresponsible Tony Romo, actually

I think you mean a MORE irresponsible Tony Romo.

It's funny how everyone assumes he'll declare for the draft immediately and be a shoo-in as a top pick based on last year. There are no guarantees that he'll get through the season injury-free or that he'll have anywhere near the same success.

With comments like this and all of the other off-season stories it wouldn't surprise me if karma really comes around to bite him (and all Aggies...especially their loudmouth AD) in the [deleted] this year.

I never said he was a shoo-in to be a top pick ... although I do think he'll go pretty high in the first round because he some team will decide he's the be-all, end-all and overpay for him.
But I do think it's certain that he's gone from Aggietown after this year.

He is the most exciting player in college football I've seen since Tebow. Whether he succeeds in NFL is another question.

My prediction is, he has a good season, although not quite as good as last year as everyone will be game-planning for him. He will then declare for the draft, get picked middle of the first round by a team overreaching b/c they need a QB and he will have a similar pro-career as Ryan Leaf.
