Acker could be our best receiver? I hope we get better depth in years to come.

We all hope we get better depth, and better starters, etc. But I don't know that it's a bad thing to say he could be the best. It didn't say he WILL be the best (kinda sounds like they're unsure how much offense he'll play), but he's a great athlete. He already has 2 touchdowns (1 on defense, 1 on special teams), so it will be interesting to see what he can do if we can get the ball in is hands on a regular basis.

Something is wrong and has been for several years with the receiver position and the run and shoot at SMU. This should be one of the marquee receiving units in the country where top high school athletes projected as D1 receivers and with a goal to play in the NFL flock to. Instead, only Bennetts recruits and commits have made a major impact in college(besides the Johnsons) and the NFL . It looks like outside of Emmanuel Sanders, the guys are underperforming in college( maybe Beasley too) but making it to NFL rosters when receivers at other universities in the Big 12 are shining in college offenses but not making NFL rosters. Is it the offense? The receiver coaching?
