The thing that impressed me the most about Daniels is that he said that he is going after the best players and not just under the radar under recruited guys. He is getting his feet wet this year but next year I think he brings in some top 100 nationally and top 100 Texas guys. I like his competitive attitude. You can't get the top guys unless you go after the top guys.

He sounds kind of like the fake Nolan Ryan on The Ticket. Seems like a quality coach. Glad he's getting his opportunity.

Eric is a good guy … the players really like him. That will pay dividends in recruiting. He is not that far removed from his playing days and is close enough in age to be able to relate to all the things these young guys like and do. The players can, and like to joke around with him. He has just enough kid in himself to make that dynamic work and not hinder his duties.

He played for the legendary Jimmie Keeling (HOF); Keelings son is the HC at Everman. Eric knows his way around the HS's in Texas and has recruited in the past, not as much maybe in the surrounding states. But, we have enough home grown talent if we can/will cultivate the talent and relationships. All Eric wants to do is be a coach, and be successful at it. He will bring energy and passion to his duties. He has been in Masons system for 3 years now … maybe 4. He and Mason are close and work well together … Mason really likes him … obviously.
