OT: Johnny Manziel

Postby HorsePower » Mon Jul 15, 2013 9:41 am

Apparently he left the Manning Passing Academy a day early, and the Mannings were nice enough to cite "illness" as the cause. But there are a lot of reports from credible sources that he was sent home because of behavior, and now there is talk that the sickly young man was out partying hours after leaving the camp.

Kevin Sumlin must love this.

He also plead guilty today for failing to give information to a police officer when he was arrested recently. I hope one of our linebackers gets free and levels him.

That arrest was from last summer, I believe.

He's a teenager. He's behaving like a teenager. Who cares?

There's always a (poster) who floats in to say something like, 'he's a teenager acting like a teenager.' Well, not all teenagers act like this, nor should we expect them to nor should we excuse such actions.

I am already very tired of him, I can't wait until he turns pro. Please go away.

The difference b/wn him and RGII (at least in the media images and behavior) are pretty different.

Oh come off it. I guess you spent your freshman year holed up in Fondren on a Friday night?

Wholeheartedly agree.

It is pathetic that people want to give anyone college aged a pass for "just boys being boys!" Not everyone is an idiot. Particularly when you are potentially costing yourself millions of dollars by your actions.

I am guessing Rayburn was not a high profile heisman winner so it is not really an exact comparison.

Come on. The kid presented the police with one of the two fake IDs he was carrying in his wallet along with his real one. Let's at least agree he should be spayed.

Guess you have not seen the RG3 stories that came out yesterday about him cheating on his wife and sexting the hooters waitress on his wedding day. He is on his honeymoon right now too. Guess he has some explaining to do.

Pretty much any time someone is hailed as a great person by the media, I immediately assume they are a scumbag.

But I will say that the girl he has supposedly been cheating with does seem like an idiot attention wh*re, so who knows.

The RGIII thing sound fishy to me. The guy has been nothing but a model citizen with the Redskins. Heck, when some media person leaked he and his wife's bridal page, Redskin fans sent them gifts and he personally wrote them thank you notes. Not like the usual athlete. Maybe its a myth, but he seems to be the real deal. We get to compare him in DC with our other phenom, Bryce Harper. Who is apparently a great kid, doesn't drink, doesn't do drugs, and like RGIII wanted to play hurt.
