1980 SMU vs. #2 Texas in Austin. The beginning of an era. I was sitting in the fat cat UT section and loved watching Ponyte provide the block that propelled James into the end zone for the big paly that started the romp.

Mine was the Polyester Bowl, November 21st, 1981 in front of 43,000 in Fayetteville, Ark. #6 SMU vs. # 16 Arkansas. Me and my best friend some way got down on the field and Eric Dickerson ran 31 yards for a TD on the last SMU drive and flat out ran over both of us over in the corner of the endzone. Final score SMU 32-18.

Too many to list just one.

The 1968 Bluebonnet Bowl. We were seated on the end of the field where SMU stuffed OU to preserve the lead and victory. And it was a comeback win.

1975 SMU BU in Waco. I was BU's guest but the SMU comeback on that cold Nov day was so inspiring that I decided I wanted to go to SMU.

1978 series against Florida, Ped State and Ohio State. I know this is a series of games but SMU went 1-1-1 against the best in the country and did it on the road. That was the series of games that showed SMU could play with anyone in the country. And it was before the great ED, James, and Carter et. al. recruiting class.

1978 SMU BU in Waco. Ford to Tolbert for 4 TDs and a late game comeback win.

1980 SMU vs. Texas. Another comeback win

1983 Cotton Bowl against Pitt. Our D was the best in the nation that day and there is no doubt that SMU had more speed, size and strength than Ped State and could have easily beaten them. Oh, and another comeback win.

2012 Tulsa vs. SMU. After stinking up the place against Tulane and Rice, SMU had no other option but to win against a better team. And SMU did. This to me was a crucial win as it put us in a bowl, built character and showed SMU could expand its game plan (GG’s ability to run complete blow up Tulsa’s Defensive game plan. No more man coverage for the rest of the game). Unlike other great games, we took the lead and held the lead.

A bit off subject, I have watched the game film from the 1951 ‘Oh what a day’ game against Notre Dame. Even though it is a game film, and one knows the outcome, it is one exciting game to watch.

The best game was probably the 1980 loss at Baylor 32-28, but the most enjoyable one was the win at UT in 1982. 30-17. The victory over TCU in 2011 was pretty nice.

2005 TCU game. They'd just beaten OU in Norman and were on top of the world.

Same for me as well! I remember a ton of people at my high school jumping on their bandwagon the entire week before only to return to class on Monday to hear nothing about TCU again.

As a fun game to watch, the 2000 Opening of Ford Stadium is memorable with our 31-17 win over Kansas. The atmosphere was electric for many reasons.

Three of us went down to Austin to watch the "comeback" kids come back and beat Bill Bradley's Texas Longhorns in the last minute when he fumbles away possession and we kick a winning field goal--1966

Jerry Levias coming out party against A$M that same year in the Cotton Bowl.

Others: The Bluebonnet Bowl win against OU, '84 win in Austin, TCU game In Ft. Worth, the Miracle on Mockingbird and the comeback win against Baylor in Waco.

Best Football Game-not to be confused with Best Victory-this one was a 6 lead change knock down drag out war with the most dramatic ending in SMU History
