Good move imo. And the players are all for the move as I am sure they don't want to have a loose cannon type player to give an opposing team billboard material to be used as motivation against them.

Always wondered why more coaches haven't done so before. Great move.

Dabo went crazy last year when guys were actually posting DURING one of Clemson's games. They have a chance to make some noise this year. Just part of trying to keep the guys focused.

Does anyone really believe telling the players will keep them from doing so. I bet the coaches tell them not to go out and get drunk. They may even go as far as telling not to deal with prostitutes. What I want to see is how the caches punish that star player that breaks the rule.

It's a lot easier to see if someone tweeted as opposed to finding out if someone slept with a prostitute.... Unless said idiot were to tweet he just banged a prostitute... Johnny Football maybe?

Although I do not tweet nor do I intend to, would it not be easy to change your twitter name and tweet whatever you wish without your real name being exposed?

And I disagree with your first statement if the kid chooses not to pay the prostitute.

In theory yes, but that sort of defeats the purpose for an athlete if no one knows who they are. Then they donb't have followers, no one cares, etc.

To your second point

Exactly - better to ban them and say you cant do it. They want recognition so no reason to change their twitter name

Ban will last until they lose a recruit who likes to tweet.
