I hope Preston is OK.

When these reports arrive, it feels like football season has really started. Thanks, PP.

Yes!it is finally here. Sad to hear that about Preston. Is Burcham 2nd string? How is he? I'm not too worried about OL. Seems like we will have some big new freshman on DL. Maybe just LB is thin? I'm pumped. We may beat Tech.

Then again, I got really excited last year before te Baylor game, came back to reality very quick. New coach at Tech though, qb in 2nd year. Shead is a beast...I think it could happen.

Not having a big drop off at RB would be huge. It's hard to replace a player of ZL's caliber.

Everything I have heard, and I will admit it is limited, is that Burcham is a solid QB and should be a good # 2 this year. It is my belief that the position will be his to lose next year regardless of the other commits. I just hope he gets some realistic playing time this year so he will be ready next year.

Everyone was pumped going into Baylor, and it was over before halftime, kind of like the year before etc...

Getting pumped up IS college football. Reality is for the pros. If James Madison and Appalachian St. can do it, we can.

Thoughts and prayers with Connor Preston. He's a great kid and stuck with us even after he was put at #3 in the spring and probably wasn't going to be the guy here. Regardless of whether he plays another down of football I hope he can recover and life a healthy life.

I have to say that the comments from Tom Mason regarding the defense are very encouraging. We may not be as talented in our front three as we were last year but it sounds like we may be better from a depth perspective. If we can get quality d-line play then this defense could be special.

I'm all for bringing in fresh blood at the WR position. Holman and Thompson have been very inconsistent and if Halverson/Gaines/Taylor can grasp the offense then they need to be on the field.

Burcham you could tell he is going to be really good at the very beginning of the year last year. I wouldn't worry about him.

LB is not an issue, we are three deep there with studs. LB should absolutely not be a concern.

Glad Hubert has switched back to defense.

Not sure the team record for bench press is 465 pounds. Maybe someone should check out Michael Carter's benches around 650.

Maybe it is the post DP record.
