Which Mustang players/coaches were at your table at lunch?
For me:
Tom Mason
Garrett Gilbert
Former safety Cray Brabham (first post-DP player in NFL)
Former running back Rongea Hill

This was the first time Ponyte and I have brought in a guest speaker for our kickoff luncheon and I must say that it was a roaring success. Crowd was 1/3 larger than the past and we were 30 minutes late getting started due to waiting for all who wanted to attend to arrive and find their seats. Hope every year ahead is as successful.

Colin Lagasse - (Lake Travis HS) - family evacuated New Orleans due to Hurricane Katrina - relocated to Austin for his high school years. Best friends with Garrett Gilbert's brother (TCU) at LT. His brother was a sophomore at Bro. Martin in New Orleans when they moved so his brother finished at Lake Travis. Played one year at Sam Houston then transferred to Tech. Colin is a fine young man and pumped about the season.

I too must echo the successful Kickoff Luncheon in Arkyland. At one time it was standing room only. Fortunately, by the time the food was ready, there were tables available. We received far more information about the program than in times past. And the Q&A session caused us to go over our schedule time. It was certainly worth it.

I had the 4-H Club at my table. Holleman, Hollie, Holloway and Holyfield. They were a fine group and all well-spoken kids. Insights: Holloway is a film major (from LA, surprised?) and has already directed 2 small films. Holyfield had glowing things to say about Larry Brown/coaches and what they mean to the Bball future. He will be on the team again after football season.

Sitting by Chancey Briggs. Great guy - majoring in Engineering. It was fun to talk to him about Prime Prep and Deion as he is originally from Atlanta.
