Regular season is 2010's TCU game: 35,481
Overall record is 2010's Armed Forces Bowl: 36,742

I am thinking tomorrow's game is more than 32K but less than 35K.

33,892

We will have 35K in the house. Won't get to Armed Forces but will beat 2010 TCU.

My prediction as well.

The only thing that might hurt attendance is the heat. Some folks may just stay indoors and watch this sucker on TV. I doubt it though.

With the new luxury seats, we may have 36,000...

Time to expand FORD! ;) 45,000 here we come!

we would have to play schools that are "too hard" to make it feasible. AAC ain't going to sell seats.

Serious question. Our stadium can be stuffed with 36,000 people.

I think we "sell out" on average once a year...

If tomorrow's game was happing, and everything remained the same... Would we be able to fill Ford if it was 45,000 seat stadium?

My opinion? No. It still seems to take too long for us to get to a sellout. it sometimes happens just days before the game, so that makes me think we'd really have to step up our performance and become relevant to even have a chance of selling out a larger stadium.

Of course we could sell-out a 45,000 seat stadium! Where were you guys in the late seventies and eighties? In 1978 we had 47,000 at a TCU game when TCU was a dormat. We then regularly sold 60,000 + at the Cotton Bowl and Texas Stadium.

Win the big game, beat Tech, make them believers. Continue improving. Dallas will return to a winner.

If we had Arkansas, Texas, Baylor, TCU, A&M, Texas Tech for a home schedule as we did in the past we would have no problem. I think Montana State, Rutgers, Temple, Tulane, East Carolina, etc will average just a bit less.

We will easily be over 35k and likely break the record. My company recently bought a baseball team and I have been involved in the operations. Attendance is calculated by tickets sold x an inflation rate, I don't know football, but we have seen baseball hit 10%

According to the Pony Express Book, in 1982 we had only crowd at Texas Stadium over 50000. Arkansas drew 65000, A and M about 50,000 and the rest were in the low 30000s.

This is actually what I've heard from old alums and old profs. We didn't draw that well game in and game out even in our heyday

See 1982 is real test of tickets "sold" because in the prior years SMU had numerous ticket arrangements with sponsors that gave away literally 10,000, 20,000 even 30,000 tickets to numerous games. Bob Hitch killed the Mustang Mania era give-aways. But to be fair, SMU didn't have an on campus facility or the Boulevard in those days either
