I expect us to win at least 5 games. Anything less than that would be a total disaster.
I believe that we should part ways with June unless we take the next step as a program by winning the conference. That being said, I think that a 7 win season would be a good result...just not good enough to convince me that JJ is the man going forward.
I expect that we will have a fun football season and I'm ready to get it started!

If it 's 5 or less I say that we have a coaching search starting in December.
My prediction, 7-6 (With a bowl win).

I expect to go bowling, and am optimistic that we can go to one of the upper tier bowls we have this season.

5 wins tops. Our lines are just too green and not betting on GG to be much better. Wins come against Montana St (I understand they are a top FCS team, but if we lose to them we should just kill the program), Temple, UConn, Memphis, and maybe a minor upset somewhere else. Very doubtful we beat anyone else. I hope I'm wrong.

13-0. Anything less will be a lost opportunity for this unique year. There is a Hades of a lot more opportunity for our players and coaches this year since the pre DP era.
Unlike others, I think we can do it. It will not be easy and we have to play exceptional ball which will be a new standard. But I still think we can do it.

My hope is 9-3, my expectation is 6-6, my fear is 4-8.

I think there is Louisville, then a group of decent teams, and then a group of bad teams. We fall into the group of decent teams. Predicting Rutgers would go 6 or 7 wins in conference by the coaches is a little silly with all of the losses they had from the strength of their team, the defense.
SMU, Cincy, UCF, Rutgers are in the upper portion. We don't play Louisville and we get UCF and Rutgers here.
Not sure how Houston will be, but we are better than Memphis, USF, Temple, UConn.
I think we win 5-7 games in conference. Beat Tech and Montana St. OOC. If we are a "good" team, we really should have between a 7-9 win season. 8-4.

With the weak showing of AAC teams in opening games and not playing Louisville this year we should do well.

Well, I guess after last night we need to officially consider Rutgers and UConn as beatable. I guess we'll know a bit more about where we stand in about 9 hours. Really looking forward to this game (if not all the obnoxious "Get yer L-ooser up" fans).

I think we could really make some noise in AAC play. I could be wrong, but I suspect those northern teams are going to struggle with our speed. I'm not overly optimistic about our non-conference games against Big-12/SEC opponents. Tonight is our best shot to make it happen against one of our old foes.

A bowl game is a reasonable expectation, and I would argue, an improvement given the upgrade in competition.

JJ has one more year on his contract, does he not? If so, I'd keep him unless we miss a bowl game. Otherwise, I'd part ways if I could finance the buyout.
Guess I'll be seeing you at the game tonight, Calallen

No buyout this year except for next year's salary. I like to operate under the "no lame duck year" theory of running a program - meaning either an extension must be earned this year or we must part ways.
Looking forward to seeing you at the game!

I think Cincinnati is faster than we are but not UConn. Rutgers offense looked fast but the defense looked average.
