In a Major Infractions Search, on the NCAA Database, there were quite a few SMU violations, the latest being December of 2000.
In the decade prior to the DP, June 1978 to Feb 1987, there were 61 major football infractions, the majority involving recruiting, and unethical (pay for play) issues.
From the date of execution, to present, there have been 53 major D I football infractions.
