"Jones said Gilbert could end up calling 35 percent of the plays at the line, something quarterbacks Timmy Chang and Colt Brennan did under Jones at Hawaii."
This is great news! Assume many on here already knew this - but it was new to me. Hopefully no more running to the sideline after every play.

If anyone deserves to have a spectacular final season, it's Garrett. Best of luck to him tonight and all season long!

I am wondering, if SMU somehow made it to the National Championship game, do you think Gilbert would rather play Alabama or UT?

I bet he would love to destroy Texas, especially after seeing how the UT fans and media treated him

"I'm not out there guessing what my receivers are going to do," Gilbert said, "I'm out there fine tuning."

I have been looking forward to seeing what this guy can do since the Tulsa game last year.
This really could be one heck of a final college season for a very talented athlete that happens to be a very talented QB.

the quote in the article - hurry up offense the whole game. That is why I think the over is a lock, because both teams will go no huddle hurry up and there will be so many possessions there are bound to be enough points to clear the over.

When have we ever run a successful hurry up offense? We seem have one speed.
