Heat Wave

Postby Pony^ » Fri Aug 30, 2013 11:32 am

Temperatures are predicted to reach as high as 105 degrees this afternoon during tailgate hours. Forecasts show 100 degrees at kickoff and temperatures will be in the upper '90s well into game time.

Brad Sutton works in Public Relations & Marketing for SMU Athletics.

He says extra concessions, extra food and water vendors, and extra water stations will be available all around the stadium. For those tailgating, find 'Mustang Alley' located on the north side of the stadium. There you'll find water and misting stations, among other tailgate activities to keep you hydrated and cool.

Red Raider faithful can even venture to the Holiday Inn at 6070 N Central EXPY. That's where the Texas Tech Alumni Association will be tailgating both outdoors and indoors. Inside is a cash bar located in the lobby and even more importantly - air conditioning.
