We need to downgrade the OOC schedule to get 4 wins.

We would 100% crap the bed again vs Baylor. Get your diapers ready for the 2 games after MT State.

How about Ursuline, Hockaday, DeVRY and Phoenix University.

Yeah it sure would suck to have another sellout at Ford.

There will be parents and girlfriends to watch Montana State.

winning fills the stadium eventually with our fans

losing vs big 12 teams fills the stadium for a couple of weeks and then nobody cares. Anyone who things we should be playing baylor next before a&M and then TCU needs to have their head examined.

We'd win more if we didn't have an OOC that compares to running the Iron Man.

Operative word being eventually. In the meantime no one will care (unless we're going 11-1/12-0 every year-see Boise State). Better to keep the Texas P5 teams on the schedule and start recruiting/coaching to beat them.

how about stepping up recruiting and getting rid of certain losses until we get equal talent. well attended beat downs dont do anything for us - its about a 10 year experiment that has been well proven.

I don't think you have too much to worry about on that front. Future schedules have TCU, Baylor and UNT 2014-2017, that's a good base of games. Gap gets filled with FCS team (Aggy and Sand Aggy probably aren't coming back here so that eliminates any more Texas P5 options) and that's 2-2 OOC at worse every year. We get serious about recruiting and we could look at 3-1 most years.

I'm still in the camp of those who think it was a huge mistake to drop Baylor for Montana State. We could have had another 30,000 crowd but instead we will have 20,000 on the Blvd and less than that in Ford next week. I just hope we can beat a strong FCS team. K-State couldn't last night

Downgrade the OOC and never expect to fill even 50% of the stadium. This was our biggest game of the year sadly, next game is going to hit hard when we have 5-10k people in the stands...

Its a sequence for building the program

weaker schedule gets us some wins
wins get us better recruits
better recruits get us bigger conference wins
recruits get even better
then we put big 12 back on schedule

starting every season 1-3 takes the air out of the ball before we get started, with both fans and recruits. It is a very well proven failed recipe

Here's one major flaw at the beginning of your plan. You are assuming recruits pay attention to number columns rather looking at our strength of schedule. I'm pretty sure any decent recruit can pop open google and look up our schedule and see how we really did.
