The AAC is a BCS conference so let;s go out and play like one. Tech was a mid to lower tier BCS team with a somewhat down year in talent. They will not challenge in the Big 12 imo. Now let's not EXPECT to lose to any team that is half way decent.

It might be a BCS conference this year, but its seems to be made up of teams that aren't BCS quality........

SMU is a BCS team for only one year. After the Ncaa four-team playoff beings then what kind of a bowl does the AAC get? Bet it is not the BIG dollar bowl tha the old Big East had.

This BCS label is useless to us, it's only 1 year so we can't use it for recruiting and we're getting money barely better than non AQ conferences. Not to mention that we've spent years recruiting poorly so we're not even in position to make the most of the one season.

It is not about what we are it is about what we want to be! In the eyes of many SMU basketball is probably not an NCAA tournament team this season, but we are working to compete for a national championship and our ascent is helping legitimize the American as a power conference in basketball. Thanks to our ascent we are probably better than the PAC-12 and possibly the SEC and Big XII. If we want to be seen as a power conference in football we need to step it up and have our conference mates step it up as well.
