SMU's Evening Cocktail Party In The Bubble

Well, SMU fans... how many of you are tired of the complacency on the home side of the field during games? And don't blame the team. The fans act like they are attending an evening cocktail party in the Bubble. I'm not saying that everyone lacks some life, but most are pathetic. Many are more concerned with how others may think of them if they actually yell or cheer for the team. What b.s.
I had one twerp, decked out in his tennis best turn around and ask me to be more quiet. Well, I am polite, never use foul language and make sure I don't yell in anyone's ear. I don't get drunk before the game. I try to conduct myself as a gentleman, but hell this is football. I am going to yell. This is my chance to escape and enjoy a game. Perhaps it's my enthusiasm which spurns me to cheer on my team and try to rally some fans. It's genetic I guess. But what a bunch of feckless cowards I saw last night.
I support the team and the kids, whether they win or lose. And, I never, never leave the game until they play Varsity. I'm not going to leave and give the opponent the satisfaction of seeing me give up on those guys down there on the field.
Never, never, never...

A lot of people trying to be too cool and not wanting to stand out in the crowd.

I agree with the sentiment but making sure everyone knows what kind of watch you wear and complimenting your own leadership skills in one post is pretty funny.

You are right. I should be more humble. I corrected the statement.

Our fans are lame. I am usually the only guy cheering/standing in a sea of lemmings.

The most important play in the game was a 2nd and 13 and nobody got off their feet. Should have been making some noise

This is such a stupid thread. Your anger should lie with JJ and [deleted] for brains company. I never seen such garbage play calling, clock management ever in my life. Stop blaming people for not wanting to cheer their lungs out for an embarrassing performance on national tv. I left after ther collapse of tech two TDs in like 2 minutes. It was flat out embarrassing and I did what the players did late in the 4 qtr, check out.
Here's a news flash, don't expect more than 5-15k people at our games from now on since they know what kind of product SMU provides and our sub-par schedule.
