Mustang logo on helmets is smaller

For some reason, they made the Mustang on the helmet smaller this season. Not an improvement, in my opinion.

I know I'm not crazy. I looked at a game on my DVR from last season and the Mustang logos were bigger. There's a lot more white space on the helmet this year.

Agree!

I hope those unis are free from Nike. They're about the simplest & ugliest in college football.

Yeah, that is a very bad move.

I just thought the center stripe was narrower.

I thought TCU's unis were pretty cool. One magazine voted that they had the best uniforms in the Big 12. And they are much better than ours.

Is there a possibility ( and I ask thus seriously) that the helmets are larger, perhaps a new design or additional air pockets or padding to help with head injuries? That could give the impression the logo was smaller.

Rebel, we have to agree to disagree about tcu's uniforms.

TCU's jerseys look awesome and I think everyone shares that thought unless you're like 40+. It's not about tradition anymore; it's about what looks cool and flashy and what makes you stand out.

And yes, the mustang does look a tad smaller, but I like it even more since you can see the whole pony. With the bigger mustang, part of the pony was covered by the chin strap.

It's obvious the administration will never allow the 80s era nor the design used in the 60s or before - for whatever reasons.

That being the case, now w/ probably the ugliest unis in the sport, perhaps it's now time to go to the uni of the wk like Oregon? Now that ours are no longer the traditional SMU design. Everyone I talk to mention the 80s uni & how plain ours are today.

If, we're not going back to blue as the primary color, I want to see this

Maybe we just need an alternate uni to make everyone happy! The helmet's fine, I'm worried more about special teams and the O line. They have got to improve quickly.

The logos have to be smaller to fit the new style helmets. It actually screws up a lot of existing logos both in the NFL and in college.
