 I read your scathing surmise of our little team after the Tech game on the DMN's best in Texas. You are starting to sound like me and Ponysnob. Watch out for Ponyboy and the other cheerleaders-they don't like the truth.
Team played hard. We just do not have any depth. We also won too many recruiting battles with UT-San Antonio. I did like Gilbert playing a lot smarter-no picks. Game plan was very vanilla.

Team out of shape. Team cramped up. Team quit. Team has no depth. Eerily similar to Baylor opener last year, except Baylor had a real offense.

Out of shape? I don't think so. Cramping up? Yes as was Tech. Team quit? Yeah, that's on coaching.Definitely agree there.

I feel better about this team after this one than at Baylor. Baylor just beat the crap out of us physically. I didn't see as much of that in this game. I was, however, most disappointed with our O-line after re-watching the game. They gave up on a lot of plays. Not sure why we are starting Hughes and the true freshman. Also not sure why we aren't playing Minor and Hollie. They better either start playing Minor a lot or just shut it down. Do not burn that guy's redshirt. All in all, I was very disappointed in the outcome but saw some good things I haven't seen in years past and I don't think we'll see that physical of a D line in the AAC. Taking it one week at a time.

I wouldn't be knocking UTSA. After this opening weekend, looks like it might not take too long for them to become a stronger football program than SMU.

They're definitely getting more bang for their buck than we are.
