Do what exactly happened to him? I was travelling during the game then advised afterward not to watch it.

He got horse collared and did a number on one of his knees. You could hear him scream on tv as he was going down. Haven't heard what the mri showed yet.

Huge loss. Shead's ability to catch the swing pas really created problems for TTY. The TTU corners couldn't handle Shead one on one. TTU's coverages respected that. Backers had to be free to support corners if Shead got outside (pass or run). Once Shead was gone, here came the blitzes in spades.

His effectiveness wasn't running wild with the ball or even making huge plays on the swing passes. His effectiveness was TTU had to respect that he could get to the corners and create all kinds of problems. And they had to adjust their D to respect his abilities.

All indications are that Prescott, like Zach, works his butt off. I hope he (and the other backs) can spend extra time with the jugs machine.

As of this morning, MRI results were not in, but head coach June Jones sure made it sound (see post-practice video on home page) like Prescott Line gets the start this week.

His latest FB post he said he's felling better and walking around which doesn't mean he's ready for 300 lb people falling on it. :-)

Frankly, I'm more concerned with Rambo's.

Once results are in I'm assuming if its bad (tears) we'd know relatively quickly and their years are over. If strains there's probably some review w smu athletics medical staff and some negotiations w coaching staff (if both guys are feeling it I'm sure they lobby hard to play where the coaches will most likely take a more cautious approach).

Even if he's ok, that's probably smart from a cautionary standpoint.

I hope, hope, hope its just a strain that won't keep Shead out too long. On the plus side, there is a bye week after Mt. State. Some extra time to heal if its not a tear. If it makes a difference in his recovery, I'd just as soon sit him in the A&M drubbing as well. Get him ready for TCU.
