Anything below 5 AAC wins should be considered a disasterAnything below 5 AAC conference wins should be considered a disaster. With teams losing to D1AA teams and the only stretch game being Cincy I think we should end up doing no worse than 5 conference wins. That added to at least 1 OOC win should have SMU at least 6 wins headed to some minor bowl one would think.

Re: Anything below 5 AAC wins should be considered a disasteWe can win the conference imo.

Fair question. The AAC games I think we will or at least should win are Temple, UConn, USF,Houston, and Memphis. We have a very god chance with Rutger because they have a weak defense. Cincy would be a stretch game for us though. UCF is a toss up imo. #HammerDown

3 conference road wins is going to a tall order for this bunch. They've only won 2 the past 2 seasons combined. They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security

Possibly for this year. Not last year. "We will play man to man and we will pick you up at the airport." - Larry Brown

Re: Anything below 5 AAC wins should be considered a disasteDream on. Not winning a game is a real possibility. A 5 or 6 win season would be fantastic after several years of recruiting futility and the Jones disaster two years ago of jumping ship before realizing God had more work for him to do with the inner-city youth in Dallas. He must be doing this out of the spotlight.
Re: Anything below 5 AAC wins should be considered a disaste
Man, I hope you're right. I would say USF and Houston are "maybe" wins, at best, and Rutgers might have a weak defense, but that team has loads of speed. I'm not ready to call that game yet. Proud to be a PonyFan
Re: Anything below 5 AAC wins should be considered a disasteLouisville alone makes the AAC a better conference than C-USA. They are a legit top 10 team with a top Heisman contender leading the way. And don't sleep on Cincy or UCF.

USF a maybe? Really? As the say on ESPN Monday night football. C'mon man. They got blown out by an unranked D1AA team. "We will play man to man and we will pick you up at the airport." - Larry Brown

Re: Anything below 5 AAC wins should be considered a disasteThe expectation should be that we beat Memphis, UConn, Temple, and USF, and that we win at least one of UCF, Houston, and Rutgers.
Before the season, I would have said 2 of 3 from the last group, because we have UCF and Rutgers at home, but Houston looked really good against Southern. yeah, it is Southern, but still....

The jury is still out on Houston. #HammerDown
