Euless Trinity Connection...?

Down here in Houston even we know Euless Trinity HS has a pretty good reputation for Texas 5A football. I thought that when Jones got here we would have a definite “in” and a pretty good recruiting advantage there due to his Hawaii connections, cool island vibe and his “ability to relate” with the large concentration of Pacific Island heritage kids at Trinity. What the heck has happened with this? We got Yenga, and that’s good (who from memory was definitely not a lock until the end even though his brother was a pretty good player here) but that’s it. Where is the pipeline (no pun intended)? What happened? Maybe the Montana State players aren’t D1 material but they have 3 kids from Trinity and 13 kids from Texas! My guess is they are going to be really ready to play on Saturday.

I think they tried to recruit a few of those Polynesian players.

The most important Euless Trinity player to SMU by a long shot is Myles Turner. No worries though, the staff that recruits their arse off is on the job. #shocktheworld

Here's a link to an article by Colter Naunez (Bobcat Beat) about MSU's Trinity connection.
