smu #1 in the countryhttps://blogs.emory.edu/sportsmarketing ... ht-future/
this may have already been posted, nevertheless i think this is so great.
Re: smu #1 in the countryYet all some posters on here do is rip our fans. The fact that we went 25 years before we put a product on the field worth watching and didn't give up football is proof that this school has some very loyal alums. Now, we have to win more games.
Back off Warchild seriously.

That sign on 75 by Lovers says UT Dallas MBA program is the highest rated in Dallas...... Peruna is my mascot!
Re: smu #1 in the countryIts a ridiculous, unprofessional report based on nonsense-see this weekends crowd. Hell see last weekend's crowd.

Re: smu #1 in the country
FYI, it is #1 in the AAC, not in the country. I still don't understand the methodology. Seems to be saying, essentially "For as bad as SMU has been and as little investment they actually put in, they have surprisingly high revenues." This does suggest brand potential, and it does suggest that there is a core group of very loyal fans who are not band wagon fans and are willing to continue to spend money on their team, but it also seems to indicate that the only way to actually tap into that unrealized potential is to win. Or am I reading that wrong?
Re: smu #1 in the countrysome people don't know how to give up.
i'm all in brother.
Re: smu #1 in the countryWhile the author doesn't provide any support evidence, I like the results!

Re: smu #1 in the countryit is not nonsense in the least. Given our lack of success we do very well. We do have a sleeping giant fan base - we just have to break "average" to get to it. Its called the city of Dallas - and slowly but surely they will find us if we can give them a reason and make it inviting to the non-SMU affiliated football fan.
Re: smu #1 in the countryI hate to agree with Stallion, but I do. This is ridiculous
