Rumors here are that Texas is prepared to throw $10,000,000 at Saban. The rumors also say Saban will stay put.

Always the possibility that Mack could "announce" his retirement at the end of the season. . . But as long as Delost is there, Mack won't be fired

The version I have heard is that Dodds gets pushed out, Brown gracefully moves upstairs to the AD's chair, and then UT goes after Saban.

Again, the word I get is that if Brown loses to OU he is gone and will have no remaining association with UT. Again, these are rumors from somewhat knowledgeable people but I do not think it is even close to inside knowledge.

Mike Lupica was talking about Saban this morning, saying he wants to prove he can win in the NFL still.

They might go after him but Saban is not coming to UT.

Saban is about my age, and I know he has more fire than me but this is not a good age to start a new rebuilding project. Of course I just changed jobs after 20 years at one place to do a kind of start up or rebuild at another bank, so I guess it can be done.

Even if firing Diaze helps, when UT loses to Ou for the fourth year then Brown is done for and moves into the AD's office in some role. As for a replacement, Saban is unrealistic. Maybe Austin hires Sumlin is an act of revenge. Now that's an interesting prospect so lets start this rumor now to worry the Aggies before we play them.

And of course Johnny FB will take 200 on line class hours and graduate after 2 years and forgo the NFL to spend another season with Sumlin at Texas.

Can we let Manziel sign all the autograhs he wants and party at the frats? Make it a package deal then.
