What teams in the AAC are not as good as Montana State?

Some are saying MSU is better than some teams we will be playing. Just wanted those who believe that to name the teams that MSU could beat in the AAC?

I won't go as far as to say that MSU is better than any teams in the AAC but teams that MSU could beat: USF, UCONN, Temple, Memphis

It does not matter. What matters is that we should have beaten MSU, whether by 1 point or 50. We did not play as well as we could have or should have and found ourselves behind very late in the game. We held together and moved down the field, and scored to win the game. That is a character builder. No one can be more upset than I in the first 57 minutes of play, but I am very, very ( that's 2 verys) delighted with the last 3 minutes and the outcome. Every game should be a learning experience, win or lose and this one personified that. The lesson may come in very handy later on in the season.

Just based on the early season:
USF
Memphis
UCONN maybe
Temple maybe
USF & UCONN both lost at that level, and none of the above mentioned teams are exactly lighting up scoreboards. Temple has scored 19 points through 2 games, USF 27, UCONN 18 (one game played) and Memphis 14 (one game played). Not necessarily a question of are they better than MSU, just showing that slow starts are looking to be the norm in the AAC and any of these teams could've been burned by a quality FCS team looking to make some noise like MSU.

USF, UConn, Temple or Memphis would be good games against MSU.

MSU is a smaller slower team than SMU. They are well coached but no way they could hang with Louisville. I think now we are giving MSU too much credit.

One could argue that MSU is better than SMU as we had the home field advantage.
On second thought, maybe not.
But seriously, if we played them again next week in Montana, I wonder what the Vegas line would be? I couldn't imagine we would be favored by more than 4 points, more likely it would be a Pick'em game given our road record.

MSU definitely superior to these teams:
UH
Memphis
USF
Temple
UConn
MSU probably equal to these teams:
SMU
Cinn.
Rutgers
MSU would be competitive against:
UCF
Only AAC team definitely superior to MSU:
Louisville

Definitely? No not definitely-they have 20 fewer scholarships. I think they'd have to play well to beat all but about 2 schools

Sounds like Ponypatrick is somewhat predicting an 8 or 9 win season.
