New Idea To Increase Ford Attendance

Everyone show up with a stuffed dummy. Hart should have these mass produced for us and hand them out at the gates... I'm sure we could have a factory in China give us a decent selection of men, women and children wearing SMU colors. For fifty-cents more we could add sound and have cheering dummies... This would be a first in college football history. We could invite Guinness and enter the record books! Just think: no more tens of thousands of empty seats! Ford would rock!

They should be made in the image of Hart, Jones and Turner. And they should have one of the dummy hands stick up their arses.

^Most realistic solution.

I heard winning works too.

25,000 in a new 40,000 seat stadium will need a lot of tarps

That rejection letter that Cougar King got from SMU must have really stung him.

Give a ways. Posters of the geldings with targets on them, let the kids and adults throw darts for prizes. I know the geldings are gone it would still be fun

We had more than 25k playing off campus against an FCS team a few weeks ago while coming off a losing season including a loss to Texas State and Smoo. So we will average somewhere between 38k-41k next season when the stadium is done. Unlike SMU, we can actually sell out a stadium and best believe we will have 35-40k at our game next week. We will obviously sell out BBVA against Memphis and if we are 5-0 against BYU like many are predicting, then expect no less than 45-50k in Reliant.

I never applied to SMU. The culture there isn't one I'm very fond of to say the least.

Still gonna be an empty stadium in Houston. . . Hopefully, 7-11 has enough room for the 15,000 people with their ski masks.

That didn't make a lick of sense. How would it still be an empty stadium if our games are going to have 35-55,000+? If we can fill up Reliant's lower bowl playing an FCS team, then what makes you think it will be empty when the real fun starts? We're playing at professional stadiums all around the city with no steady home this year and are still drawing double (and potentially triple and likely quadruple for BYU) Smoo's attendance despite the stadium being on campus and literally right next to The Boulevard. Again, people in Houston care more about UH than Dallas has ever cared about Smoo in a lifetime. Hmmm, I wonder why that is..

Good call. You would have been wasting your $$$ for application fees in exchange for a rejection letter.

Doubt it. Being a minority, scoring a 24 on the ACT and finishing in the Top 15% of your class goes a long way.

Yeah, and the "culture" at Princeton is why I didn't apply there.

Should have tried NTCC. . . Oh, wait! You did!
