Scheduling I would guess. The SEC changed some games this year. Next year they will have less home games than normal

All 4 of the OOC games are at home.

We had 7 home games last season - only road OOC game was Baylor.

This is not that unusual. The bigger schools typically only play 1 non-conference game on the road. Some years they may play 2, some years they play 0. They pay UNT and SFA and Ark. St. to come get beat up, then play 1 serious opponent in a home and home or neutral deal.

pretty common with the Top schools that can fill 80,000

80,000 x $80 tickets + seat license + concessions + parking is all you need to know. Then throw $600,000-800,000 to WhatsaMatter U and they would have to be stupid to play on the road. Very well may get worse in the future

Guess I have seen 7 home games but 8 (67%) seems a tad advantageous. And yes, I realize $$$ talks.

I'm pretty sure this is SOP for the Aggies. I was very surprised they agreed to come to our house.

Expect the Aggies to stay within the state of Texas on Non-conference games now that they are within the SEC, and expect them to have 8 home games on a regular basis.

Plus one "home" game was supposed to be in Dallas but they went back to a home and home with Arkansas, which in a year or two will go back to Dallas.

They need to one up their Tech rivals and pack more into Ford than they did.

if you want the opposing team's fanbase to fill your stadium you should probably not charge the same amount for tickets that they would pay for Arkansas at JerryWorld.

How much were the Tech tickets again? Surely they weren't the $90 (after fees, tax, etc) that y'all hit A&M up for last year.

also, A&M only had 6 home games last year. The move to the SEC jumbled everything up for the next few years.

After this year the Arkansas game moves back to Dallas so every other year A&M will have as few as 6 home games. 8 home games won't be possible until something like 2023 when the JerryWorld deal runs out and by then it may be entrenched enough that both schools renew their deal there.

SEC teams typically have AT LEAST 7 home games, sometimes 8, or a neutral game.

Florida and Ga ALWAYS have at least 7 home, 1 neutral and only 4 road.

Most B10 and SEC teams always play 7 home.

They load up on a 1aa, plus 2 MAC/Sunbelt teams (always at home) and MAYBE a home/home with a respectable team.

but two roads were neutral site (ark at cowboy, LT at Shreveport). So, 6 + 4 + 2
