TCU fans are saying game was sold out for about a week but yesterday there were 1,200 tickets that just happen to be in visators area.

I noticed this post on KF:
"smu never brings more than 1k. Even if they were undefeated, they would never bring anyone. They just don't have fans and the ones that they do have think that driving to Fort Worth is too far."
I'd like to object, but unfortunately this statement is not entirely without merit.

Last game @TCU we sold out our section, however I wonder how many total we were given this year. The Baylor away game last year was well attended. I wouldn't imagine we will have more than 1500

I have a fairly high priority w/ MC point system which usually gets me great seats on these away game allocations (great being relative with where the other school puts us). For the TCU game I'm in an upper deck corner.
I've always been in the lower visiting section at TCU and I am for A&M. So either a bunch of people that normally don't buy tickets that are ahead of me in priority points bought tickets, or I got jobbed this time and SMU botched my seat location.
Having said that, we definitely bring a few thousand to these road games (I know a dozen people that have bought through TCU or stubhub, and I'm not that popular), but it needs to be so much more.

Looks like the visitor section(s) has moved to the worst seats in the house, the corners...
Seating ChartThat's a real A-hole move by TCU, but kudos to them, I wish SMU had the ticket demand to stick visitors in the worst seats instead of 40 yard line behind their own team's bench.

Yep those SMU tickets in the corner upper deck visator section are definitely the new tickets which just became available at the TCU ticket office. Not ready for Prime Time SMU. Now list excuses for all our great SMU fans below. TCU fans get it done. SMU Fans make excuses.

Haha. Now we're defending TCU fans. What would SMU look like, what would Ford look like, what would the Boulevard look like had we experienced the same success on the football field that TCU has? If we were in the Big 12 instead of them? We'd make what's going on in Fort Worth look like a two bit country fair. Dallas supports winners big time. Fort Worth has Miller Lite Texas Longhorn ads as you leave town.

Why did we send tickets back so early? It is not common practice to send allotment tickets back two weeks before the game. Maybe SMU fans would get it done if SMU would practice normal procedures.

actually no I didn't realize that SMU couldn't sell out its measley ticket alotment to its cross town rival when TCU annually brings 8,000-10,000 every year to SMU. Its amazing this [deleted] it still going on after 4 Bowl Games and demonstrates exactly why we are pretending to have a future in big time college football. I do love reading the clueless come up with every excuse they can think of to deny the truth though in comparison to the most comparable university to SMU. Probably won't have to worry about it much longer because TCU will probably be dropping SMU soon. Who could blame them except then they would lose that home game in Ford Stadium every other year. Let's see too frightened to play Baylor at home-don't bother to attend TCU game. Irrelevancy-SMU fans have earned it.

Seems incredibly stupid to send tickets back the day after the game time was set

You just think this up? You are a little slow on the uptake then. Thanks for stating the obvious....again.
