I haven't seen any breakout of where the donations went. A lot of it seemed to go for vaccine generation. System schools? TX Wesleyan law school? Regardless, it's an impressive figure.

It looks like total gifts to the university including to the Bush 1 library. I think in comparison aren't we aiming for 1 Billion in our fundraising goal?

Yes we are aiming for 1 Billion.... spread over 4 years. They raised almost 75% of that in 1 year :(

Aggies have much larger alumni base and a much larger student body than SMU (not as impressive on a per student basis).

Raised an extra 300 million after JF won the Heisman. A good football team helps raise money.

Turner? Maybe June should have offered Manziel instead of a smaller, shorter, slower, weaker armed, lower rated QB from California? We scouted but never offered-a bunch of Texas and regional schools did.

Manziel never would've picked us.. he wanted big time football, he was ready to go to Oregon but later switched to A&M

You never know, if you don't try. #shocktheworld #Mudiay

"You miss one hundred percent of the shots that you don't take" W. Gretzky

How many high school spread qb's were forced into other positions to be in a power5 conference. RG3 and Manziel were all asked to change positions at one point during their college recruitment. I am sure their have been a few 3 or 4 stars that we could have gotten that would have done well at SMU.

for much of the summer prior to his senior year he was getting looks from most southwest schools-but few offers at QB. If some team had jumped on him early with a QB offer-things might have been different. Neither Oregon or A&M jumped on him early. Bottom line June didn't bother to offer the QB who won a Heisman as a freshman and instead offered a career backup. On the other hand Mack Brown offered him late as a safety-which is even funnier after watching his hilarious attempt to tackle the Alabama DB on the pick-6. That's been the big joke across Texas this week-"Mack offered Manziel as a Safety"
