Sorry but please can we actually execute against a regular season opponent that is better than us. No stupid penalties, no dumb plays, no dropped passes. Is that too much to ask. A&M talent is superior - I get that but beating ourselves every single time against a good opponent is maddening. I fully expected to lose but at least look decent. This is happening every time vs a good/better team other than bowls

You're asking too much. We'd need competent coaching and some actual talent to pull that off.

the OL actually gave GG some time but we couldn't execute. I didn't see one single Option Read up the middle that was successful the later part of last year. Hal's offense actually looks ok vs June's terrible Run N Stall

The number of penalties was higher than our scoreboard. That is inexcusable.

Any pass heavy offense is useless with our personnel, Mumme's offense looks better (mostly because we've stopped forcing deep shots) but it's still easy to stop because the run isn't used enough to force defenses to respect it.

True ---- And we don't have one single deep threat guy in the WR core. Darius Joseph looks ok not great. GG has a love affair with Holman. We didnt' throw down field once that I can remember other than right before half on a desperation throw.

KC did run the ball after the 1st carry at all. I wonder why they just passed the ball to him instead of allowing him to get more handoffs.

He was playing the role that Lagasse was playing the first 2 games (RB motioning out for the swing pass). Must have had something to do with blocking.
