Praise for Kevin Pope

Postby Mustangsabu » Thu Sep 26, 2013 6:59 am

I've had two people comment to me this week, both big A&M fans that Kevin Pope is a "stud" and "will play on Sundays" after watching the game last week. I just thought I'd post since there have been very few nice things said outside of Gilbert obviously.

One hopes he contiunes his 'stud' performance Saturday in Ft. Worth. We need the Lb corps to step up and play to their potential for the first time this year.

No question. We need a number of them to have stand out games, one or two just won't get it done. Boykin and the RBs for TCU are going to be a handful.

Boykin presents speed to the corners and that puts real pressure on our D playing discipline football. To some degree, preparing for the Money Badger might have helped our D prepare to play disciplined football. Still, we have got to contain which has been a traditional problem for us.
IF we can keep it between the tackles, we have better chance. If we lose contain, then big running playes will kill us.

Kevin Pope has played great and has been part of some big plays so far. With Joyner back he should even get better.

That is good to hear, I saw him in on a few plays, but didn't really notice him standing out like you did with JG and TReed

Would it be inappropriate to wave a sign saying "you can kiss Pope's ring"?
