We still have Shead if he lives up to his billing

Yes, I know that but since it take about a year to learn the offense and Shead graduates after next year that would leave a 2 year gap between Line and the next back we recruit if we do not get a running back in this class.

I wish that they would put P. Line on the bench and let KC get the carries. Line is just too slow.

The next coach will not have an offense that takes a year( or 5) to learn.

Wasn't he the best player in Michigan his senior year? So far he looks like the SMU version of Case McCoy........

Why is a Texas school going to Michigan to recruit a running back? U of Michigan doesn't even recruit Michigan running backs.

The last one from Michigan worked out for us pretty well, and he was a LB in high school.

June doesn't utilize the RB position anymore so why recruit one? Afterall the QB generally does all the running!

I know I'm going to get heat for this, but here we go. Zach Line was ok. He was decent. He was not a BCS level back. He was a good CUSA back. Zach had multi touchdown games against Memphis and Sam Houston. We didn't hear from him in the Baylor or A&M games. Schools like Sewanee rely on word of mouth recruiting. The P5 teams sign players with more empirical data (stars).

He ran for 140+ in college station

140 yard one ts game is an average game for a college running back. Not great. Average. Zach Line would have played linebacker or special teams at TX, A&M, OU, Baylor, Alabama, LSU, Michigan, ND.....

He is like the SMU version of Tebow. He was great for us when we had him, but it doesn't translate outside of the Park Cities bubble.

Dirtysouth is for the most part correct.

This focus now is not on a running back that graduated. It should be on the ones we have. Hopefully Shead is back next week.
