I think he would be supportive win or lose. We will have to give the next coach 3 years to recruit up to a competitive lower tier BCS level.

I'll give the new coach 2 0-12 seasons (hopefully never) as long as it looks like he's recruiting as hard as Larry brown.

Rebel10 is right. This roster is so depleted it's going to take at least two years of really solid recruiting to even be competitive against an average Big XII team.

I don't know. There is definitely a talent gap, but if we played with a little passion and a few less penalties, I think we could have surprised tech or tcu, and defnintely kept themn close. But we seem to just lay down and roll over like we don't care.

To be honest as someone pointed out in another thread that TCU made a bunch of mistakes and penalties as well.

Yes, tcu made mistakes too. SOme of them were their own and some we "encouraged." It's football, everyone makes mistakes. Just like in life, it is how you deal with the mistakes. We make a few, and like Jonestown, we drink the cool aid and lie down and wait for it to be over. Tough teams keep fighting, and if you keep fighting good things can happen sometimes. Nothing good happens of just giving up and walking off.

I would be happy with a game where our offensive tackles made every pass block. And it would help if our best blocking back did so as well. Watching GG get hammered because Weeks, Ashcraft and Line missed block after block was downright painful. GG got more heat yesterday than in any other game. And our tackles looked terrible!
Receivers need a calendar to get open so our like has to block. It's unfair but true. The problem is the DEs were hitting GG before he could even complete his drop.
That our O has produced as much yardage as it has prior to yesterday is a miracle.

what little you could see on TV at times, Ashcraft looked terrible. It's easy to see why he and GG couldn't make it at Texas
