Does anyone know why we nixed the weekly TV wrap-up series? I imagine it was expensive but I'm curious as to what it was intended to do...was it to expose us to Dallas but viewing numbers didn't justify it...to get us into the BCS which we accomplished...for recruiting purposes but it was deemed not to work...or was JJ uninterested in doing it during his final contract year? Anyone privy?

Either the AD or SID said that it did not yield a good ROI. And thought the mpney would be better spent spent on other marketing.

They chose to put that $ into hiring full time marketing and game day production folks

any idea of what type of marketing and adv.??? Doesn't seem to have had an effect on attendance..Perhaps just wasted money.

Hart addressed this on one of the recent "straight from the hart" blog entries (the one regarding possibly having beer at Moody).

Basically said it wasn't worth the money and they were looking at other ways of spending that marketing money.

Tech game was a sellout, and record for earliest sellout at ford.

Montana State and Rutgers are never going to bring in fans, under almost any circumstance.

Game day presentation is 100% better.

There's another episode that comes on most Saturdays called "the fall"

Probably a very good estimate. Those shows got very little discussion even on these boards. If this group was not interested in the show, hard to imagine who was.

I admittedly watched it very sparingly. Kinda boring and not terribly insightful

I'm glad they saved their money. Much better things they could be spending it on.......

I thought it was (for us) innovative at least...could be used as a recruiting tool. If it fell short, and they stuck with it for three seasons, i wonder how badly it did. I think this is a good indicator of how much penetration we have in the DFW market.

It was one of those channels you had to go looking for...not a major player in the DFW market.
