Could not be happier for him given the harsh reality of losing that game. He deserves more protection....

from JJ's interview it seems that they made some adjustments in the second half that afforded him more protection. I wanted someone to follow up with a "why have we not seen that before?"

So is SMU or Gilbert in Austin?

SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

At least they didn't call us the longwhorens or the frogs.
Congrats to GG- he gives it all and deserves the recognition.

Such an entertaining game. Never seen so much heart. Easily my favorite game to watch during the June era. The game was heartbreaking, but it felt like a win...

Congrats and well deserved. That was one of the best performances by a college QB I have seen. Throwing, running and keeping plays and drives alive (he threw away a pass right as he was getting smeared of avoid a sack). I noticed the protection was better the second half which allowed GG to go vertical more.

This kind of performance is what we needed to beat TCU and TTU....

From one of his worst games (TCU) to one of his best. Hope he has 7 more in him.

I knew that, but the format they used made it look like they were referring to SMU. They should have put Austin Texas after his name and then the rest of the data...IMHO. :)
