Sounds like it's more than "SMU considers ...," given that the school has garnered consents from UP and Dallas County. Next stop TABC!

The article is very misleading in saying only Houston allows the sale of alcohol today. Only Houston allows it to all attendees. Every or nearly every D1 school sells to big givers (or special-fee-payers, a la Rice's endzone thing) one way or another.

Hey, look, here's a group of people I couldn't give less of a sh*t about: the neighbors!

"If one is approved, stadium neighbors — already concerned about game-day parking — could have another reason to complain."

You moved next door to a large, national University that's been there 100 years and has helped drive your home prices to astronomically high levels. P!ss off

Don't they sell booze now up behind the glass where the pretty people sit.

I agree with most of your point, but those people paid the astronomically high prices for their homes, so it is not like they benefited from the run up because they bought when the houses were cheap.

So you are saying they are already mad at us for driving up the prices too.

Yes, but it's under a different type of license than what would be required.

I still say our AD is responding to the fans' interests in several areas-I really don't have a dog in this hunt-because I'd prefer to close bars down and watch football sober-but if it will help get fans into the stadium I'm all for it. He is doing what an AD is actually hired to address

Hart is doing all the right stuff but don't tell those on here that want his head just because he's not Orsini

Hart hasn't had to make any tough decisions yet. No reason to criticize him at this point.
