Patterson: TCU Attendance

Overall, not a fan of the coach from down by the river but... I liked his comments regarding attendance:
"When I started here 16 years ago we had 16,000 people in the stands. I think, always, you talk about you'd like to have it a little bit better, but just like we're growing as a football program going into the Big 12, I think you're also growing and understanding as a crowd how important they are for us to have a home-field advantage and win. It all takes time."
"Everybody needs to understand for us to get where we want to get, everybody is going to need to buy in. There's not any in-between. Fans, players, recruits, the city - everybody has got to be there if we want to get where we want to get to."

I knew after they lost a few games those "diehard" fans would find something better to do on a Saturday afternoon. Thanks for lecturing us horned frogs.

Might as well blame the loss on the fans. Easy target.

Polar opposite attitude as JJ...notice the growing distance between our programs

I like the attitude...tell it like it is. he just wants TCU to be among the big boys when this all shakes out and doesn't want them to fall back and re-join SMU after all the progress they have made. That could still happen if the Big 4 from the Big XII join the PAC

Yes, I think the Horny Toads will see attendance drop as Big 12 competition wears them down,
and perceived mediocrity in the Big 12 causes decline in the overall program.

It will still be leaps and bounds better than MWC, CUSA, WAC days...

I bet they have lost 5-6 starters (STARTERS) in the last 2 seasons due to the drug thing. That's why they are struggling.

Patterson should sit in the stands. That would make them look much less empty.

Losing your starting quarterback Casey Pachall, Big 12 DPotY Devonte Fields, and a handful of your starting OL never helps. The funny thing is, even after all of our injuries, we've be a play or two from being 5-1 right now and have been competitive in every game.

You are what you are. If "ifs and buts" were candy and nuts we'd all have a merry Christmas.
